March 2011 marks the beginning of my fitness journey with No Limit. It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since I first stepped into their facility. Back then, I was searching for something different, something more than just a typical gym experience. Little did I know, that No Limit would become my sanctuary, my support system, and my second family.
Finding My Way to No Limit
Before No Limit, I was stuck in a rut. Despite being no stranger to the gym, I was yearning for a change. I craved a smaller, more intimate setting where I could receive personalized support while still having fun. That’s when I stumbled upon Group Training at No Limit. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I had found my fitness home.
Setting Goals and Overcoming Challenges
Like many, my initial goals were straightforward: lose weight and get stronger. But as I immersed myself in the No Limit community, my aspirations evolved beyond just physical transformations. With the unwavering support of the coaches and fellow members, I found myself pushing past boundaries I never thought possible.
Of course, no fitness journey is without its struggles. Even after a decade, I still grapple with giving my all during every workout and not just coming to the gym to “check off a box”. Yet, it’s precisely during these moments of struggle that No Limit shines brightest. The coaches and fellow members serve as constant reminders of the resilience and determination that lie within me.
Celebrating Milestones and Triumphs
Throughout my journey, there have been countless milestones worth celebrating. In 2014, amidst battling cancer, No Limit became my saving grace. With the support of my fellow members (like April Burt), I embarked on a journey of resilience, participating in events every month. And now, in 2024, as I celebrate the 10-year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis, April and I are back at it, doing an event every month again.
Just recently, I celebrated my 58th birthday with an extraordinary feat: 58 pull-ups and 58 push-ups within 13 minutes (… 5+8=13). Not bad for an AARP member, if I do say so myself!
The Transformative Power of No Limit
Physically, the benefits of my time at No Limit are undeniable. I feel stronger, healthier, and more energized than ever before. Mentally, the impact has been equally profound. Each morning, as I gather with my fellow members for the 5:15 AM at Group Training, I am reminded of the incredible power of community and camaraderie.
The Role of Coaching
At the heart of No Limit lies its exceptional coaching staff. Their dedication, passion, and unwavering support have been instrumental in my journey. Whether it’s modifying workouts to suit my needs or offering words of encouragement during challenging times, the coaches at No Limit go above and beyond to ensure every member feels seen, heard, and supported.
This year specifically, Coach Kristin has made a tremendous difference in my fitness level and my overall sense of well-being. As I mentioned above, Coach Kristin has been instrumental in helping me reach my fitness goals, lose close to 20 pounds and over 13% body fat, and just be a more positive person.
Words of Encouragement
To those considering joining the No Limit family, my advice is simple: take the leap. You won’t regret it. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’ll be greeted with warmth, encouragement, and a sense of belonging like no other.
Finding My Why
So, what motivates me to keep going? It’s simple: No Limit is my happy place. It’s where I go to challenge myself, connect with friends, and ensure I can continue leading an active, fulfilling life for years to come.
In conclusion, my decade-long journey with No Limit has been nothing short of transformative. It’s a testament to the power of community, resilience, and the unwavering belief that with the right support, anything is possible. Here’s to another decade of growth, challenges, and triumphs at No Limit.
